Pastor Shocks Congregants After Openly Admitting There’s Nothing Wrong With Waganga

A local church pastor from Tanzania has left church goers filling in the gaps after he openly admitted during a Sunday service in Dodoma that he has been a frequent visitor to Traditional Doctors.

The confession, which was made in front of a full congregation, shocked many who had always suspected but never heard it directly from the pulpit.

According to the pastor, who has been in ministry for more than fifteen years, most of the large gatherings people see in churches across Tanzania and East Africa do not just happen naturally.

He explained that many men of God secretly consult traditional doctors to draw crowds, sustain miracles and boost influence.

In his own words he said, “For a long time, I kept hearing people question how my church grew from just 20 members to filling this entire hall every Sunday. Today I want to be honest.

“I have been a frequent visitor to Shaba Mangube Doctors. They are the ones who gave me the solutions I needed. With their spells, attracting people became easy. It has been easier to minister the gospel when people actually come together.”

The revelation was met with mixed reactions. Some members of the congregation clapped in support, saying the pastor’s honesty was refreshing, while others shook their heads in disbelief.

For years, there have been whispers in Dodoma and other regions that pastors use unspoken methods to pull crowds, but very few leaders have ever confirmed it publicly.

The pastor went on to explain that in his view, what matters most is not how the crowd is brought together, but what is done with the opportunity once the people are present.

“It matters less how the crowd was outsourced. What matters is what you do when they come. I preach Christ, I pray for people, I teach families to live in peace. And if Shaba Mangube Doctors made it possible for them to gather here, then I see no wrong in that.”

His comments sparked a heated conversation both inside and outside the church compound. Some faithful said the pastor had simply spoken out loud what many religious leaders secretly do. Others felt betrayed, insisting that the pulpit should never be mixed with traditional practices.

In a bold move, the pastor even went further to recommend people to seek help from Shaba Mangube Doctors, saying their services go beyond just helping pastors attract congregants.

“They have solutions for families, for marriages, for businesses and for health. If you are struggling with things you cannot explain, reach out to them. You will find answers.”

Residents in Dodoma said the news would definitely stir debate across other churches in the country. Some admitted they respected the pastor for choosing truth over secrecy, while others warned that such statements could shake the faith of believers who prefer to see the church as purely divine.

On their part, a few church elders said they were not entirely surprised by the confession. One elder whispered that he had always known there was “something extra” behind the way crowds poured into the church every Sunday.

“When you see miracles happening and attendance shooting up overnight, you start asking questions. Now he has confirmed what many of us suspected,” the elder said.

The breaking news spread quickly on social media platforms in Tanzania and neighbouring Kenya. Hashtags mentioning Shaba Mangube Doctors started trending, with people debating whether it was right or wrong for religious leaders to seek help from traditional doctors.

Shaba Mangube Doctors themselves have long been known for offering solutions in matters of love, wealth, protection, revenge, fertility and even leadership.

Their customer care line +254 795 613711 has been a lifeline for thousands who say they got breakthroughs where other methods failed.

As for the Dodoma pastor, he insists he has no regrets. He believes his role is to preach and change lives, and he will use whatever tools are available to bring people to hear the word.

“Some people will judge me, but I am free because I have told the truth. And the truth is, Shaba Mangube Doctors have played a big role in making this ministry what it is today,” he concluded, as congregants murmured among themselves.

Whether the confession will affect the church’s membership positively or negatively remains to be seen. But one thing is clear – the pastor’s bold words have reopened the conversation about the relationship between churches and traditional doctors in Tanzania.
