Day My Husband Had His Eyesight Restored After Road Accident

May 2024 is a month I will never forget. My husband almost lost his life, survived, but could no longer see. That was near Onjiko Boys High School in Kisumu, and from that day my life changed forever.

It was a Friday afternoon. He was riding his motorcycle back from work when a speeding car hit him. The call I received that day broke me into pieces. When I reached the hospital, he was lying there helpless, his body full of wounds, his face swollen. I thought I was going to lose him.

For weeks he remained in the ward. Doctors fought hard, and God spared his life. But when he opened his eyes again, he could not see.

At first, they told me it was temporary. They assured us that with time things would improve. Days turned into weeks. Weeks turned into months. Nothing changed.

We moved from one hospital to another. Kisumu. Nairobi. Even private specialists. Every scan showed his eyes were physically fine, yet he could not see. We spent all we had. I sold my business stock.

Relatives started helping, then slowly they abandoned us. Everyone was tired. And in the evenings, my husband would hold my hand and ask, “Will I ever see again?” I had no answer.

It was the darkest season of my life. The children looked at their father with pity. Some family members whispered that maybe we were cursed. I prayed and prayed but nothing happened. At one point, I began to feel abandoned even by God.

Then one day, my sister came from Migori. She looked at me and said, “You have tried everything. Why don’t you try Shaba Mangube Doctors?” At first, I resisted.

I said no. I told her I couldn’t imagine such a thing. But she asked me a hard question: “Do you want your husband to remain blind forever, or do you want him healed?” That shook me.

The following morning, I decided to call. I dialed +254 795 613711. I was trembling as the phone rang. A calm voice answered, asked about my husband, and gave me instructions. We were told to come for a session. Honestly, we were desperate. We had nothing to lose.

When we arrived, what surprised me most was how simple everything was. My husband was guided to sit, a few items were used, and words were spoken. He was asked to close his eyes and relax. The whole process took less than one hour.

Then the impossible happened.

He suddenly screamed my name. He said he could see a shadow of me. I froze. My heart raced. After a few moments, he began describing objects in the room. I fell on my knees and cried uncontrollably. The man I thought would live blind was beginning to see again.

We were given protective charms and a few instructions for home. Within three days, his sight was fully restored. He could walk without help, read the newspaper, and even play with our children. For the first time in months, laughter returned to our home.

I can never describe the relief I felt. After wasting so much money and time in hospitals, it took just one visit to Shaba Mangube Doctors for our nightmare to end. Today, my husband is back at work, providing for us, and living his life like before.

When I look back, I realize pain can sometimes blind us to solutions that are near. I am grateful for the healing, grateful for the restoration, and grateful that our children can grow up seeing their father strong again.

For me, the day my husband’s eyesight returned was the day I believed in miracles again.
